Shinjuku, Tokyo

Good to be back in Japan again.

Japan is the land of the clear umbrellas, box shaped cars, clean train stations, musical toilets with all sorts of gizmos, few rubbish bins, yet no rubbish anywhere, polite, gracious, helpful, wonderful people, deafening, crazy pachinko and games parlors, no public seating anywhere, but loving all of it.

Coolangatta

Caught the Greyhound coach at 5.30am, barely daylight, beautiful sunrise, calm and serene as we pulled out of Coffs Harbour on time. A very pleasant way to travel to Coolangatta, great views from the elevated position in our comfortable leather seats, with free Wi-Fi and USB charging, a very quiet journey. There was a mass exodus of young people at Byron Bay, and then the bus filled up again to travel to Brisbane.

Sunny Coolangatta is a modern, clean, laid back town with beautiful clean, white sandy beaches. We enjoyed our short break here, relaxing and swimming at the beach, and walking around the beaches of Coolangatta.
